Quick update: I did this job yesterday on my 04 Eddie Bauer. It was not fun, but not as bad as expected. The little shield covering the drain pipe was a ***** but i found my 2ft long flat blade to pry it off.
I cannot stress this enough: Go get a 24" section of 1/2" copper pipe. Don't even...
The hissing? I own an 04 now (eddie bauer) and my last expy was a 99(EB as well). BOTH made that hissing sound. No ill effect on either. My 99 I sold at 255,000 miles and talked to the guy the other day. He said the only thing he's done since he bought it off me was a new set of COPs and plugs...
@Hamfisted This looks like a great idea. I'm gonna go to the hardware store and look for rubber cap that i could insert in the hole when i'm finished, just to look a lil better. My idea is to use a 1/4" hole, maybe 3/8", and use my air compressor to force air through to clean it out.
I still...
Is that a plug n play thing? I'm just curious. I think thatmodule may reside on Ford's proprietary UBP network. I just say that because it doesn't show up as a listed module in forscan.
I'm new to it though. Please let us know when it arrives if it's a plug n play or not.
Good luck bud!
As Built Data, straight from motorcraftservice.com(specific to VIN) is identical to my abs module. All 5 rows of hex are the same.
Taking it to the dealer so they can do the calibration. If i just wouldn't have reset the codes all would be perfectly fine............
Oh well.
Unfortunately you cannot calibrate steering position with forscan. Not at this time, anyway. I have logged the values and it's smooth and linear. No issues in the log with steering angle.
I think that the code for that was an old one. I am the 3rd owner.
I found others who have had the exact...
I have been looking for an answer to this and have come up empty handed. Hours and hours of searching.
So basically if you have some old error codes stored in the abs and software to access it? Do NOT clear the old codes. For some reason it causes a C1998. Learned this the hard way.
It means...
I happened to be breakin my balls changing out a wheel bearing and brake shoes. I looked. I goes over the pulley exactly like you show in your pic.
I have an 04 eddie bauer. I remembered this post and took a peek while i was cussing this ***** of a vehicle
So, Your's is wired correctly. There's...
I'm on it. http://search.ebscohost.com/Community.aspx?authtype=ip&ugt=723731763C3635273746359632653E4228E365D36613609365E321E330133603&IsAdminMobile=N&encid=22D731263C4635373746355632553C67389375C376C370C375C371C370C376C33013
This is an amazing site. Thanks to the OP who posted it some years...
I can confirm 100% that the BAFX 34t5 obd2 module works. It connects with forscan and you can get into all modules.
Now here's something to remember: DO NOT clear ABS codes. It basically blanks the module so your traction light flashes. In order to recalibrate it you needed a license key. In...
Had the same problem. 04 eddie bauer expy. 5.4 AWD, all the bells n whistles.
It's NOT a vac line issue. A vac line will cause the air to come out the defrost. This is the electric motor that controls which vent it flows through. Can get stuck in the closed position and the airflow is like 10%...
