How do I replace the switch to rear glass on my 2018 expedition? I can release the glass window with the keyboard. But the button switch does not work. Is it necessary to remove inside trim? Thanks
Differential bearings were replaced. Car still made the noise. Left front wheel bearing was replaced. Car still made the noise. Right front wheel bearing was replaced. Solved the problem! On the road again!!
We have an explorer with captain chairs in 2nd row no console and expedition with bench 2nd row. We have a large golden. His preference is bench folded flat by far. Can’t get comfortable with gap between the seats.
Dealership checked car yesterday. Said it leaking vacuum caps of iwe system. Today they found metal in front diff fluid. At least one bearing was shot. Gears were ok. Waiting to have front differential bearings replaced.
Thanks for responding. Model is xlt 4x4. Unfortunately I’m not able to do what you suggested. Hopefully l will be able to ask more intelligent questions when I take it in. Didn’t notice this growl or hum when I purchased car 6 months ago. I have been towing a dump trailer quite a lot. Thought...
I bought 2018 expedition with hd tow and 3.73 differential 6 months ago 43000 miles. Now noticing a growl or loud hum. Worse at low speeds about 1200 rpm. 10 speed transmission. Otherwise works fine. Plan to have it checked out next week. Any thoughts?
Our 100 pound golden prefers the bench seat in 2018 expedition. He avoids our 2016 explore with middle bucket seats. Won’t even get in that car. You’re a Rottweiler will be met way more comfortable with bench seats.
I have a 2005 expedition Limited with 120 thousand miles. Over the last few months I’ve noticed a rattle sound when I turn the key to start it. The rattling is coming from the engine compartment. It goes away as soon as I let up on the key. I presume it’s related to the starter. It’s been...
Yesterday all power locks on my 2006 Limited expedition would not work. Same thing happened a couple of months ago. Turned out to be the fuse. None of the power lock buttons work. The remote does not work. As far as I can tell no other systems involved. Wonder if the vehicle has a history of...
Thanks for your input. I don’t do my own oil changes anymore. Too damn old. Plus not strong enough to get the oil filter out. My plan is to talk to the mechanic next oil change and possibly replace the PVC valve. My engine only has 115,000 miles but runs good. I don’t want to upset the apple cart.
Question: is it normal for my 2005 5.7 v8 to use one quart of oil per thousand miles? No visible leaks. Been doing it for a while. 115000 miles. Always used standard recommended oil every 3000-5000 miles.
