My 2019 expedition Platinum with EcoBoost needs a new engine, and I need advice!
The estimate is $15,000-$17,000. We still owe money on it, so we can't really just walk away. The mechanic isn't actually a friend, just a private mechanic with his own shop. Taking it to Ford might be an option.- kc930

Not that necessarily matters, but we've only had this vehicle for 2 years. Every other Ford we have had, we have been able to drive for years and years. So incredibly disappointed right now.- kc930

I have a 2019 Platinum with the EcoBoost engine. I am not car savvy at all. My husband only handles all the car stuff. Last week, my son was driving my vehicle and heard a loud noise in the engine.
