Hi, Had a similar issue last winter Truck sat for weeks had intermittent starting issue. My problem was the Start relays that are in a small plastic box on top of the radiator. There is a start and Run relay and I swapped them out with the Trailer wiring and towing relays, there are right next...
Hi, I had an identical problem with my 2007 Expedition. I went through the the usual starter motor, battery ( was recently changed). The last thing I did was to swap over the starter relays. I swapped them with the trailer towing relays( same units). The relays are #57 run/ start relay and #54...
Hi, Had the same issue and was able to change both gaskets easily. As you mention that you have one larger bolt on the passenger side thats hold down the crossover. The alternator gets removed, and all the bolts holding down the crossover assembly. You just have to lower the coolant level below...
Hi, Have a 2007 built in Oct 2007. The truck did come with the 2-piece plug. Got to 110000 kms or 65K miles. Decided to change out plugs as i knew the 2 piece where an issue. Went to a friends garage and 4 out of 8 plugs broke. Fortunately the garage had a Ford plug removal tool and also...
Hi, Check the o-ring on the AC pump dryer. the dryer connects to main compressor with a simple 1/4 turn and hold down screw. After that went through 2 compressors ( 2 years apart) and switched over to strut/spring rear suspension. Cheap fix $300.00 bucks not as firm a ride but I never have to...
Hi,
I had a similar issue with my Expedition. Changed a sensor and it set a week later. Turned out to be the sparkplugs. Replaced the plugs and have not had an O2 sensor light since ( 3 years). At 112K miles the plugs might be due to be changed.
Worked for me.
HI, Went through this with my 07 expy. First i disconnected the battery let it sit for 30 minutes and re-connected. Did this to reset everything in the truck. I did have a slight leak as the suspension was low in the morning. They usually leak at the dryer input. Its a small orange o-ring . You...
Update on 07 Expy. The Suncore product was a coil/strut package rear conversion kit. No more air rides for me. I found after a few repairs to my existing air ride($$$) the coil/strut conversion was the best option for now and long term.
The smell is probably the ground contact melting on the seat heat module. I had the same issue and the seat heater stopped working after a while. Remove the passenger seat mounting bolts and flip the seat forward. There is a module under the seat with a large white connector. You can remove the...
Update on the 07 Expy. Installed a Suncore rear conversion kit. The parts seems to be decent and the installation was straightforward. The truck sits a its normal ride height. There seems to be a softer ride and not much difference from the original air ride. For $157.00 and free shipping you...
2007 Ford Expy needs 3rd compressor replacement and leveling sensors. Would like to convert to coil/strut. Has anyone done a conversion to Monroe 171139 on the rear end. There are several conversion kits out there and I question the quality. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks
