    Front seats travel track covers??

I don’t have that vintage Expy; however, that exposed worm gear is normal. The carrier that travels along the worm gear comes from the top of the threads, or to put it differently, is mounted to the bottom of the seat track. If that gear was covered, there would be no way for your seats to move...

    Engine swap

The general consensus is the juice ain’t worth the squeeze. I did put a re-man’d 5.4 2v in my ‘03 EB last summer, and the replacement engine supposedly addressed all of the known issues with that vintage 5.4 (timing chain guides, phasers, oil pump, etc).

    Roof Rack Part

Junk yard? Seems like somewhat of a common piece that would span several years.

    Not so Good Vibrations

DO IT! Throw the Volant air intake on there while you’re at it. They do include a 15% military discount as well - it’s like they’re paying you at that point. PM me if you’ve got any questions. You won’t regret it!

Help!! Dealership doesn’t know what’s wrong

WTF?… That’s a recipe to turn what could be any minor problem into a very time consuming and expensive one.

    2nd Row/Center removal

    Weathertech does not.

Help!! Dealership doesn’t know what’s wrong

If you’re getting a Check Engine Light, post what Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) you get. A OBD2 code reader is required for that. If you don’t have one, I’ve used Blue Driver for years and it works great. About $100 on the Amazon. Or take it to your local parts store, they should be able to...

    E-fans and CAI 5.4 2v

The first e-fan installation was in 2000 with a Flex-a-Lite kit. At that time the fan controller was integral to the fan assembly. In ‘05 that fan controller failed. The only way to replace the controller was to replace the entire fan assembly. I ended up selling that truck and the next guy...

    E-fans and CAI 5.4 2v

Quick update on MPG increase after the intake and e-fan install. Bad news: I haven’t seen a discernible increase in MPG so far, because - Good news: I can’t keep my foot out of it. The throttle response is significantly better, the 5.4 spools up quicker, and couple that with the throaty...

03 5.4L valve cover bolt specs

Not sure, but one method is for you to pull out your tap and die set, grab the gauge in there and that should give you at least the TPI. Then test fit some of your dies until you get the correct diameter. It’ll be the metric kit.

    Not so Good Vibrations

Helluva quest to get this figured out! I can see how a shop would’ve tossed their hands in the air a while ago, and just tried to sell you a new $100k Expy instead of figuring out the problem. Nice work! Stay at it!

    Raining coolant

Coolant in the valley can come from the o-ring failure at the back of the water pump (search for the water pump mod - very common), or your intake manifold could be leaking, particularly if you’re seeing streaks down into your valley. Either way, take the pissed-off squirrel’s advice. He knows...

    P2195 after catalytic converter install…

Reading over your original issue, I think the O2 sensor may be a symptom, but not the problem. Why did you have to replace the cat(s)? Physically clogged, as evidenced by a back pressure test? Guts gone? Or were they smoked from too much fuel being dumped into them? That could be for a multitude...

    P2195 after catalytic converter install…

FYI - you can access all of the O2 sensors, but removing the inner-fender / wheel well liner is necessary. However, that only takes exactly 5 minutes. Like an idiot, I’ve timed myself doing it. The trick is you just have to find all of the screws that secure the inner fender - some are hidden...

Intermittent vibration at 70-75 MPH? - SOLVED!

Surprising to me as well. Seems having the front driveshaft rotating 100% of the time would create excessive wear and tear. It would be interesting to figure out if my ‘14 Super Duty does the same thing.
