01 body lift questions!
I installed the 3” BL on my 97 Expy, and it took me an entire weekend. Body bolts were difficult to get off so spent quite some time on that. There are a lot of steps, but you can do it with help of friend. I ran 35” MTs and they only slightly rubbed at full turn. It would be easier to crank...- LAexpy

Fog light conversion
Have you got me beneath your truck or pulled the bumper to see if you have connections for the fog lights? Fog lights were an option on the XLT and the connections may already be there. You may simply need to open up the cutouts and add dog lights. Fortunately, my 97 XLT came with them- LAexpy

Suspension upgrades
This is an old thread, but I'm also looking at the 5100s. There's a REAR 5100 shock for a 3" lifted 97-02 Expedition, but it's specified for RWD coil sprung suspensions. I know the front shocks on a 4WD and RWD are different, but is the rear the same? Also, there is FRONT 5100 for a 0-2"...- LAexpy

Another (slow) Build Thread...My 1997 Expedition XLT
I haven't really been able to do much to the Expy, as some ******* stole my tools from behind the driver's seat. Toolbox had all my extensions, breaker bar, torque wrench, set of 1/2" deep sockets, 1/2" and two 3/4" ratchets and various key sockets and other stuff - I was planning another trip...- LAexpy

brake pedal loose during turn
I installed my 3" body lift on my Expy, and although it requires a lot of work aside from adding the pucks - lowering radiator, adding steering extension, gas filler extension, transmission shifter extension, and bumper brackets - I seem to recall installing a relocation bracket for the brake...- LAexpy

Rear diff covers and oil
I saw looking into a Mag-Tec diff cover for the rear axle, and came across video on the Banks Ram-Air Differential Cover. Here's the video: It shows you what goes on inside the differential when using one of the aftermarket covers. After seeing this, I will just stick with the OE cover- LAexpy

My MOAB Bucket list build..
I got some new recovery - everything in your pic except for the snatch block. I'll be getting a winch in the future, but need other stuff like rock sliders, tires, gears, and a True Trac for the front (maybe the rear as well)- LAexpy

Ford make aluminum wheels 1st gens?
Check out OfferUp - I sold the OEM original 17" aluminum wheels on there. You can find them pretty cheap- LAexpy
