It’s related to battery health. If the battery’s not at 100%, some systems are disabled including the start/stop feature. The most annoying feature that turns off is the touch entry for all doors except the driver’s one.
I didn’t have the cam phaser shudder but I asked the dealer to do the recall software update. They did it and then promptly undid it as it caused the shudder! So it’s running just fine as-is!
I had to do this after a sync update got hung up and it kept asking for the USB every time I started the truck. Two resets in a row forced the whole update to restart from scratch and run successfully to completion.
Try a system reset from the GUI screen. You can also do this by holding in the power button (volume knob) and pressing the fast fwd button until the screen goes blank. It will come back on after a moment.
The front USB ports are not just for data. I play my MP3s on them from my thumb drives. Have you tried that to see if they show up as media sources when in the Audio screen. Also try one of the USB sockets In the rear seats

I put it on my battery tender for half a day and the locks did start working again for a while at least. It needs more charging but that appeared to be the issue! I also set my dash cam to a short 1 minute screen saver as this was most likely the root cause of the parasitic drain.
