Just realized that I never did a drawing on this. The effect of not connecting the red wire remains unknown. I never got my hand on a passenger-side taillight, so wiring colors might be flipped on that one.
Sorry guys, haven't been checking the forum lately. The link on page one should contain enough details for the conversion including the color for wiring unless they decided to switch the colors up.

Please feel free to PM me if you need instructions on which wire goes where. I'm not planning on doing the retrofit yet as there is still a potential safety hazard that the turn signal appears to be too dim for the first couple of seconds, and I assume it would be something software related. I...
Not as bad as 2-3 seconds, but definitely noticeable especially when you are in a hurry. Maybe it's because turning the knob is faster than using a actual shifter and it makes you feel like it takes longer to shift? I have noticed hard shift as well, it also comes with a loud noise. There is...
I don't have one, and occasionally gets people asking how it doesn't come with one for such a vehicle. Personally I don't really use sunroof or need the extra light in the cabin.
Ordering was easy when I bought mine Expy, but they will sell you sticker price with not much rebate. You didn't miss out much not being able to order yours other than paying too much for the rig. It's a great vehicle don't get me wrong, but it might not justify for the price they are asking.
Thanks a lot. Would you mind taking a look at my video on page 1 between 0:14-0:25. Do you think LED modules is kinda dim when only using turn signals without low beam, or is that the same brightness on LTD/Plat?
I see, that's why it won't stay on recirc foever. Tried to use recirc when going through tunnel in heavy traffic to Manhattan, don't know which way kills me faster. Maybe just don't use AC.
Most obvious point I can notice is the outer rims is in different color. And the halogen exterior is two-colored with red and clear while LED is just clear.
UPDATE #6 Red wire on LED taillight
After hot wiring the red wire to both red and yellow output from the halogen socket, LED taillight didn't light up at all. The function of the red wire is still unknown, as well as the effect it's going to have on the life or stability of the LED module by...
Thanks for the input. That's what I'm lacking as well, I never got a chance to take a close look at how it works stock on the LTD/Plat. Would you mind showing me where did you find the wiring diagram for the module? I'm sorry if the video created some confusion. The lighting in the video is...
