you need to find another shop. anyone who says not to replace them, while they are doing all the other work is nuts. its hardly any more work and not much more money and they are probably bad if you need chains, guides etc.
or, maybe its because the gas stations should be changing over to summer blend gas and you will get better mpg with the summer blend and warmer temps. i usually get a full 1 mpg better over the winter blend
im getting pretty close to getting tires. i have been thinking a 34 or 35. im going to re-gear and put some sort of lockers in at some points, but thats a bit down the road. so those who have that size tire with a 5.4L and 3.31 gears, how bad is it?
they are not, unless you have aftermarket control arms or stamped steel control arms, which i have never seen before. i just put on upper arms and its pretty easy, probably easier than changing the ball joint if it was changible.

i am about to do front ball joints and axles on my 2007, 171k miles. i was thinking of possibly just ordering complete upper and lower control arms so that i would have new bushings also, but not sure if thats really needed. how many miles are people getting out of control arm bushings?

if you go with anything new. check out the time it takes for it to boot up and show video. my wife bought me a kenwood 692 a few years ago and its fairly awesome, except by the time the unit boots and shows video, i am already out of the driveway and down the road.
