Gear Ratio1
FWIW to anyone: The tag on the door of my 2005, shows "Axle 15". A search of my VIN on VIN Decoder provided this info: "Axle Ratio (:1) - Rear 3.73, 3.73, 3.31 (3.31 min/3.73max)" Not sure exactly how to decipher it; but assuming it has a 373 axle ratio. is my assumption correct?- OleAppleJack

Amsoil 5W-20 XL Extended Life Synthetic Motor Oil. I change oil every 5K, even though XL is an extended life oil. Motorcraft OE FL-820S filter- OleAppleJack

key in ignition chime shut off?
May not be what you are looking for, but Ford makes a seat belt extender that latches into the seat portion of the seat belt which will accomplish what you desire. Every time I have bought a truck, asked the parts dept. for one and they would give me one. There are also many aftermarket extenders.- OleAppleJack

Who has Children as an Expedition Owner
Two daughters 46 and 43, one son 40. Third row seat down, our two Chihuahuas love the room to roam when we travel. Lil beer cooler fits perfectly between first and second row seats; wife driving and I'm in hog heaven.!! :-)- OleAppleJack

Oil leak...
I just had my oil filter adapter gasket changed and they did not drain the coolant. You will lose SOME when you remove the adapter but by no means all. Coolant looked good; so we just replaced what was lost We did do an oil change obviously. Gasket was about $10 at Oreilly's.- OleAppleJack

Hey Y'all, 2005 Eddie Bauer purchased in February. Thanks to the forum, diagnosed one problem as Ignition Coils, which have now been changed and an oil leak fixed with new oil filter adapter seal.
