General Grabber tires on brand new 22 Expy

My 22 limited came with 22 inch Grappers and sat for 3 months waiting for chips in the winter. Flat spots. Ford replaced them with General Grappers ATX, since the Grapper OEM was discontinued. After their road force, I didnt like the ride at 60 and above. Had them road forced balance by an out...

Your friend may be correct...new General tires has solved my problem. Will research the next set of tires when the time comes.

New 2022. My experience. No engine cover?

Ford is still using the old pre covid/ chip shortage policy which isn't fair to the dealer...I was told the old pre covid policy was to make dealers responsible for moving their inventory on the lot. As I said in a previous post on this thread, this is just the tip of the ice berg for FMC until...

New 2022. My experience. No engine cover?

They told me the same. I have purchased 7 Fords over the last 20 years....all i said to my salesman and service advisor...this ain't your mother's flat spots ....com'on man its tires not the engine . Call Ford customer service. Tires are a charge back to the dealer if the flat spots are...

Yep, Ford gets one banana for no engine cover on the 2022 expedition! Going to return my cover. As for the flat spot tires, drove 200 miles on the new and very smooth. Moral of the story, if your new Ford sits for almost 4 months in Kentucky in the winter months waiting for chips and you drive...

So the the verdict is in. The dealer road forced balanced the tires and 3 could not be balanced. So they ordered 4 new tires after getting an ok from FMC. They ordered 4 because the 22 inch General Grappers in that design have been discontinued. I assume the tires had bad flat spots from...

Glad you got your cover...it was for a 2020. Good to know. I plan to resolve that issue too, even if i have to buy one. I am still dealing with my tires. I agreed to put 500 miles on it if there are flat spots. No change so far, but will comply to get a set of new tires from Ford. I had a brand...

Interesting... do you have 22 inch wheels with General tires? General tires are not exception tires. I am sure its balance or flat spots on the tires. Maybe others on this forum will respond after taking delivery of their 2022.

My 2022 limited 4x4 ionic silver came in last night. I ordered it in October 2021 the first day Ford would accept retail orders . Ford was very good keeping me posted on the build. I ordered it for MSRP with 1000 down. It did sit for over 3 months this spring waiting for chips after it was built...
