    TWO YEAR REVIEW

Maxine is a great looking vehicle!! I bought a '21 FX4 2-1/2 yrs ago and it's been perfect so far. Great for mild offroading and with the max towing it tows our 8K pound camper on short trips. Best of luck with Maxine!! I call mine Magnetic due to the color!!

    New tires for 2023 Timberline

Not a bad looking tire. Guessing these are LT rated.

A year that DOESN'T have massive transmission issues?

No problems with my '21 FX4 with max towing. Pull a 8K pound camper about once a month and other then that I mostly baby it around town. Shifts smooth as butter with the 3.73 gearing.

    Tires for Towing Travel Trailer

I probably lost about 1-1/2 mpg due to tire weight and rolling resistance. Tires are 33x11 so they're one inch taller then stockers but same width. BFG shows weight as 57 lbs so they are not light either. Much better when towing vs the stock P rated tires due to the stiffer sidewalls and heavier...

    Tires for Towing Travel Trailer

My FX4 came with Michelin Primacy 275x65x18 P rated tires. Had a little over a thousand miles when I took them off and sold them. Had the BFG TA/KO's in the past and were the best tires I ever owned. Son in law runs the KO2's on his 3/4 ton trucks and swear's by them. Almost 20 K miles on mine...

    Tires for Towing Travel Trailer

275x70x18 BFG KO2's on stock wheels. I run 65 psi when towing and 40-42 psi for daily driving. Almost 20K miles on them now and very satisfied with them. Good traction on and off road.

    Better mileage pulling trailer

275x70x18 (33x11) Lost 1 mpg mostly due to increased weight and rolling resistance compared to the stock 275x65x18 Michelin Primacy P rated tires. Almost 20K miles on them and have been very pleased. Had BFG TA/KO's in the past but this is my first set of KO2's.

    Better mileage pulling trailer

Usually the best gas saving device is your right foot! I've been pulling at 60-62 mph max and get 9 to 9.5 mpg. In a 55 mph zone I'll get almost 10 mpg. I run 65 psi in my BFG KO2's on the tow vehicle and 75-80 psi on the trailer tires (Goodyear Endurance) I mostly tow short distances in flat as...

    No complaints

No problems so far with my 10 speed. Have 3.73 gearing with the max towing package and I think it goes through the gears quicker and smoother. No hills or mountains around here in SE Louisiana but we do have a lot of tall bridges!

    No complaints

No complaints here either! Great daily driver compared to the F350 dually I drove for 4-1/2 yrs. Decent fuel mileage and comfortable on trips...handles like a sports car compared to the dually!! '21 XLT with max towing and the FX4 package. Tows our travel trailer every so often also.
