EVerybody already weighed in on the regular suggestions, slow down, 4A or 4H depending on your transmission/transfer case and maybe go into the manual selection mode. I'll just point out that if you are at a stop and shift into the sand/mud/ruts selector (for those without the 2/4H/4L option)...
Skid plates for a 2019 Expecdition (mine is a limited) - I ordered mine from RCI Offroad in Loveland CO (https://rcimetalworks.com/ and https://rcimetalworks.com/product/2015-2023-f-150-full-skid-plate-package/). Got the full set for the Ford F150 (2018-2021) and had them installed at an...
I have also found limited aftermarket items for my 2019 Limited. RCI Offroad (rcimetalworks.com) in Loveland CO has skid plates for the F150 that fit with very minor modification on my Expedition. Took teh offroad shop about an hour to install the full length plate package (engine, transmission...
Finally had a chance to try your suggested diagnostic.....and.....couldn't discern any difference right or left - the rumble is there any time I am braking from say 40mph or faster. Hard brake or just slowing, doesn't really matter. Guess I'll have it checked when I have the tires rotated and...
Thanks Overtow - I will give that a try and then off to the dealer depending on what I find. At the moment it seems most notideable when baking in a straight or nearly straight line fro m45 mph to a slow/stop. Good thing it's still under warranty......
Great post adn timely as I may need to do something with my front brakes. Mine seem to have a low rumble or hum when braking. It' snot a shudder adn there' no shimmy like you'd exepct with a warped rotor...it's just a sort of rumble for lack of a better word. There is no squeaking or squealing...
Great post! I've recenlty noticed that there seems ot be a "rumble" noise coming from the front under braking. It's not real loud and it's not s shudder like you'd get with a warped rotor. There also isn't any shimmy at all in the steering and no squeaking or squealing, just sortt of a low...
@Expedition Dave - so....I'm only three months late in responding to you ...my bad. My very, very bad. Seriously, my computer logged me off and I lost the thread until today. IT is NOT my area of expertise. Anyway, I believe the difference in mounting had to do with the mounting for where the...
Nope - no comments at all. I can only presume (perhaps I shouldn't) that they were able to change everything with no difficulty. Guessing they can reach around the plate as there is space on the side. I gave up trying to change my own oil years ago due to 1) weird-ass designs that made it really...
I just had the oil changed at the dealer and they didn't have to do anything different. There is a cut-out for removing the drain plug and when I asked, they didn't say anything about it being an issue. I was also concerned about this but it doesn't seem to cause any problems.
I got the steel versions - a bit less expensive and franly, I"m kind-of old school and just feel better about steel. I'm also not real likely to go anywhere real crazy but we do get out hunting and better safe than sorry. FYI - they do give a military discount if you are in teh service or a...
Had these installed on my 2019 Limited at a 4x4 place in Lakewood CO (RSG Offroad)..they removed the front air dam (thank goodness that ugly piece of plastic crap is gone!) and it basically bolted on EXCEPT for the connection between the front skid plate and the transfer case plate. There are no...
