On the 2000, the switch is located at the radiator end of the brake master cylinder reservoir, not underneath. Any Ford dealership will unplug it for no charge. They will also replace it for no charge if your model is on the recall list. I don't recommend anyone starting to unplug...
Thanks all. Sub has been repalced with a cheapie 8" sub from Walmart. Souns much better than before. but now I'm considering installing a larger amp and either a 10" or 12" sub. The stock amp is a "weener".
Thank you guys for all the input. I will try to replace the sub this week. I understand the three bolts for the sub enclosure, but why did Ford see the need for an addtional bolt on the back of the sub? The other 8 bolts holding the subwoofer to the encloure are good enough.
New Guy. I recently bought a 2000 EB. My 8" sub in the passenger QTR Panel is busted. I moved the front grille, the 8 screws and the sub won't come out. Are there fasteners or something behind the sub also holding it in place? DO I have to move the entire interior QTR trim panel?
