    It was at the local Ford dealership. I don't distrust them, yet. I'm not opposed to checking it myself but I'll have to read up on it. What tool do you use to check the thickness?

    I just had my Expy in for an oil change and the complimentary inspection noted that my front brake pads are down to 7/32". I only have 14k on my Expy and I have young children so I generally drive like a grandpa. WTF? Are others experiencing similar wear on their Motorcraft pads?

    If I recall from a prior discussion (1+ year ago) I think the issue with the towing mirrors is due in part to the windshield rake being more on the Expy vs the F150/F250...the triangle where the mirror attaches are different shapes between the trucks and the Expy so it won't fit.

    I noticed this too. I don't like that it applies the brakes, at least as much as it does. I can't tell if it also applies the trailer brakes as well but I assume it does. IMHO it stayed on the brakes far too long for my comfort. Trailer drum brakes just don't handle prolonged braking like...

    To get mine to stop I double-tap the mirror fold button, to start them folding then unfolding them again. It sure is embarassing to have a $70k+ car ticking loudly in the parking lot. Mine even started doing it on remote start...used to only do it when I unlocked the car to get in.
