So the slop is not due to bad bearings? Hmm, I might give that a try, it's not binding or anything, very smooth in steering, just that slop that is getting annoying.- Skauber

I'm in the same boat on a 2005 Expedition EB, considering to just buy a used steering column from a junkyard and refurbish that on the bench, as I have to take it apart to figure out whats needed and I cant be without the truck for the weeks it takes to order parts for...- Skauber

Spark plug change time.
When I did my plugs, I bought the Lisle extractor tool kit just to have it handy. Didn't need it, but I can assure you that Murphy would have broken most my plugs if I did NOT buy that kit and have it handy :)- Skauber

VCT Sensors
Ford is correct, VCT wasn't introduced until the 5.4 in 2005. The older ones had traditional fixed cam timing. Could you describe the misfire more in detail? Is it always? On a specific cylinder or random?- Skauber

A/C Blowing warm. System no leak and blend door good
Did you replace the accumulator/drier/filter assembly at the same time? It is always recommended to replace these when replacing major components of the AC. It is rare, but a filter can clog up to a point where it doesn't allow the freon to flow through the system.- Skauber

I agree, 4v is a better engine, even better if it's with a VCT system like in the Mustang. But the 4v which the Navigator came with actually has the same power as a 3v, with the 3v gaining 10 hp more in 2010. Roof Rust
Aftermarket sunroofs will pretty much always leak. Either patch it up with something, or just have someone weld in new material. Multiple error codes
If there's an injector not plugged in or bad connection to a sensor like the intake air temp sensor, those codes will reappear instantly when you turn on the ignition after clearing codes, as the PCM does a self check and checks stuff like sensors and outputs and such..- Skauber

Multiple error codes
P0202 usually means the injector isn't properly plugged in, check the connector and make sure it's making a good connection. P0171 is probably related to the injector that isn't working. P0113, if I'm not mistaken, the intake air temp sensor is integrated in the MAF sensor. Check the connector...- Skauber

service engine soon light flashing
Flashing check engine light is something they call a "class A misfire", basically it means that there's a dead cylinder.
