No offense, but I would guess there are very few people out there who are "probably good up to $9 or so" for gas. I make good money but there's no way I can afford gas to go up much more than it already has. I'm currently looking into a Sienna hybrid, but it is not ideal at all for my family...
Even if they leave it a "regular" Sequoia, if they can add another 10 square feet of cargo space behind the third row, I could make that leap. The current 18.9 is so meager. The new Tahoe managed to get it to 25.5 which is more liveable.
I would say that plenty of people live year round in Denver with RWD and probably something less than good M/S tires like yours. You would probably be OK for your visit, and taking it slow and putting extra weight in the back would help in the event of a big storm. And with luck, you'll have...
