I have noticed similar problems after disconnecting the battery for a project. Hard starting, stalls and rough shifts when first driving the car - I was told the computer needed to reset some inputs and am lucky that the issues went away after a few miles of driving.
I hope you have similar...
First- Congrats on your new Expedition MAX.
Starting with the correct ball height is useful. If the trailer looks "uphill" to the hitch maybe some more drop in your hitch will help it carry its own weight.
I have a Weigh Safe hitch ( Weigh Safe Trailer Hitches - Towing Peace of Mind...
The seize of the AC Compressor apparently happened while parked. As a result I believe it was the energy of the starter and me trying to start the engine that caused the damage.
I can get by without the truck for now and am making arrangement for it to be towed to my home. I am interested in...
I am disappointed and reminded about why I don't trust the dealership. The invitation to authorize $1,400+ was not a solution but an interim step. I think the tensioner and belt are sub $100 parts and less than an hour of labor. That leaves $1,100+ for an AC compressor.
I just rechecked...
Dealership called before I was able to get back to the truck and explained the following:
The belt tensioner was "bent back" and the air-conditioning compressor pulley was damaged which also damaged the belt. To replace those items it would be a minimum of $1,426 and then they would check for...
The world's best 2008 Expedition EL (216k miles) that never lets us down was a little hard to start this morning. It started then stumbled and stalled. It immediately restarted and ran fine after that.
Funny thing, I stopped at the parts department at the dealership to pick up a new transmission...
I have an '08 EL so I experiences may be different but I went with the Monroes for the front and I chose the Ranchos from their level up kit. They add 3/4 of an inch in the back and that help offset the squat from my horse trailer. They are adjustable and the mid adjustment seems to work well...
Yes, I have had corrosion inside the lug nut cause it to plump up and deform. I bought 10 lug nuts and just swap in new ones when neededt brake jobs or tire rotations.
I would not hold my breath on the recall...
Good Luck,
Stephan
I had the 3rd row belts chewed by our Golden Retriever. I removed the belt assemblies and too them to a local auto interior shop. The shop stripped the old belts off and put on new ones - the new webbing is black instead of tan now but I just wanted clean...
I think they charged like $25 a belt...
Hi- I have a 2008 Expedition with the power running boards. I recently installed these https://www.crutchfield.com/p_752MUDFLPF/WeatherTech-Mud-Flaps.html
and am very happy with them.
I used the Hawk pads and was pleased but didn't see the benefit of what was 1.5-2x price of Power Stop. We use the Expedition for pulling a horse trailer so I like a lot of meat on the brake pads and change them more frequently than required.

Has anyone replaced the Ford emblem on the steering wheel? (2008 Expedition EL)
Mine is cracking up so I would like to replace it however I want to be careful not to disturb the airbag.
Thanks,
Stephan
Don't I wish...
Checked it out with the ohm meter and the answer was infinite.
Popped the new one in and we are back in action.
Thank you and the search function.

I don't know as I have kept the stock intake but I just laughed out loud as the add immediately to the right of your post was Amazon with a selection.
Hope this helps...
