I had it installed within the first 200 miles of ownership. I’m around 1200 now and haven’t experienced any rattling, overheating, wind noises, or anything out of the ordinary. I do worry less about somebody running off with my cats when I’m out in town though.
I'm curious about that too. It isn't air tight by any stretch and does have vents cut into the bottom as well as an access hole to reach the oil drain plug. I'm sure air still circulates through there when you're driving but it does close up a lot of previously open area around there.

I get where you’re coming from but in the real world this isn’t practical. Do you bring all that with you and leave it in a parking lot when you’re shopping, or going to baseball game? Are you standing watch after you park or do you go inside the place you just drove to?
