    My '09 did just fine in Texas on 87 octane and also just fine in Colorado on 85. The altitude makes a difference in the combustion of the fuel and the ECM computer can compensate for any other differences

    I tried that and it didn't work. There is no flasher on my 09. It's all controlled by the module behind the passenger side kick panel. Apparently the trailer plug is on a separate circuit. I wound up going back to the stock bulbs.

    You have to reset the computer. There is a procedure to do that. It's not hard. I have a 2009 and I replaced my regulator. I assume you have auto up/down. That is what needs resetting.

    Back in the 60s, I had a pair of ramps made from a piece of railroad tie that I sawed in half at a great angle with a bow-saw. Heavy but strong. used them for years til someone stole them.
