I am using the frame and drivetrain from rusted out 04 XLT for a Rat rod project. I removed alot of stuff and now cannot get the expedition to start. I have removed the back half of the body and the floor up to the front seats. The roof is gone so basically it is just a frame and the front end...
Has anyone tried to clean up the mess of vacuum hoses? I have a couple of bad ones and it seems that the routing of them is a bit silly.
Just curious if anyone has any tips for cleaning up the rats nest.

I only changed the Abs module due to a Vin mismatch between the 2004 computer and the Abs module. Got both from the same expedition. The IC does not need to be changed.

Just an update. I replaced the computer and abs module with the one from the 2003. All works perfectly. Thank you for your help with this.

Yes. Just bought it and I knew of the problems but never would have thought I would have to make a decision whether or not to pull a rebuilt trans because of a 1 year difference

Bit of an update. I still don't have any codes. I did check voltage at the OSS and I am only getting. .2 volts at the sensor and at the computer connector.
Any ideas?
I have rebuilt a few. Albeit mostly chevy's, but automatics are mostly the same.
I feel like this is another issue. I know these transmissions are notorious for the direct drive clutch breaking but again not convinced that is it either.

I hooked the scanner to it but there are no stored codes or pending codes. I drove it around for a while and still no codes.

Sorry for the delay in getting back on this.
I replaced the VSS and it didn't change anything.
So to recap the transmission drives in 1st gear if I put it in drive, it doesn't shift up any gears. If I put it in 2nd gear manually it shifts fine from first to second. Does not shift to 3rd or...
