    Yep. I had a 5.3L with AFM. Horrible design. It burned oil and the PCM could never make good decisions on when to use 4 cylinder mode vs 8 cylinder mode.

    Same tired design issues with the 4runner. They haven't updated the engine nor the transmission in the 2022 4runner. It has the same powertrain architecture as our 2007.

    Through all of this, it's really hard to tell if it's Ford's doing or their suppliers, service providers, 3rd party shippers etc.

    Come hang out in the forgotten club with me. :sad72: I ordered back on 11/15/21 and I don't think ours will ever get here. It's supposedly been built, but radio silence on shipping details.

    GM's engines have never impressed me. I had a Tahoe with the active fuel management and it was the worst engine ever.

    I'm not sure the priority codes mean anything. Mine was ordered at 19 and has stayed there the whole time as far as I know. I just got the built email on 6/24.
