The straps on the original OEM sensors occasionally break as well. Thought I had a wheel bearing going out on one of mine until I pulled the wheel off and heard the clanking/rattling noise as I wheeled it out of the way. Go with the newer style valve stem sensors. And in my experience, TPMS...
Look for a local mobile spark plug and bolt extraction repair shop in your area. I've changed plugs on three 07 Expeditions. First two were not a problem. On my current one, five of them broke. I have a local guy here in Cincinnati that came out and removed them and cleaned the threads. New...
Agree with Motorcity muscle. Had the same issue with my 07 EL-Limited. Ford updated the heater hoses at some point. They're fairly cheap and pretty easy to change.
I'm on my third 2007 Expedition EL. Current one has 183k miles. I think they made some minor engine changes in 2009 (not sure), so this may not apply. But if you want to try something cheap and easy, buy a bottle of Seafoam. Follow the directions, but pretty much put it in where you add oil...
This is what I need done. I may be wrong, but I do not believe it is a turnbuckle adjustment on the rear with air-ride. I like the self-leveling air-ride because it's great for towing cars.
Used the FORScan program (which is pretty good for a free download) on my laptop to diagnose an issue with my rear air suspension. First code was B1342 which basically says replace the module. I've done that. But now I need to set the ride height. Looks simple according to my factory repair...
I'm on my third Expedition EL. First one I bought was an 07 EL XLT. Had the shudder problem. Owner was told it needed a new trans. Fluid and filter change (every 30k miles according to the factory manual), added shudder guard and had the local dealer upgrade the TCU for free. Problem solved.
Thanks for the advice. I think I will start with that windshield, or possibly sunroof or or AC drain leak first. If water is getting into the SJB, that might be the source of several of my problems. Will update soon with what I find.
Thank you for the quick reply. Fairly certain it is not a corrosion issue on this truck. Purchased from the original owner from Macon, GA. It is possibly the most rust-free 07 Expedition in SW Ohio.
I do agree with you. I probably need to dig through the service manuals and see if I can...
New to the forum. Currently have a 2007 Expedition EL with some odd electrical issues. I have had three of these (four if you count a parts truck). I've owned this one since 2017. Awesome trucks, which is why I keep buying them, but have had some mildly annoying electrical issues since I've...
