Upper and Lower Intake Replacement
Thanks for the reply. The description states this is for a ’97 Expy… You’ll have to forgive my ignorance, but will this fit my ’01 4.6L Expy? There are so many posts about tolerances and tight specs, etc. I just wanna make sure I get it right; not have to tear down the engine again… Thank you!- William1

Upper and Lower Intake Replacement
Can anyone provide a parts number, or a viable alternative. I need to replace the lower intake on a 2001 Expy 4.6L. The issue with the one I have is the metallic inserts are stripping out; no longer hold tension and can’t get proper torque values! If anyone has a general idea on repairing the...- William1

AC stuck on defrost
Definitely as lonestarjeff stated, be sure to look at your vacuum check valve. Also, take a really close look at the small tubing leading to and from the valve. I had this same issue in my 01 Expo 4. XLT. I replaced the check valve with no result. But I missed a pin-sized hole in one of those...- William1

4.6 L engine tap with exhaust smell
Newbie here. But I’ve owned my ‘01 Expedition for nearly 20 years. I’m only at 215Kmiles. But, I’ve kept it on the road by puttinga lot of work into it. That said, common causes for what is described here could be a bad EVR valve, or tubing. A new EGR valve could make a world of difference, and...- William1
