    If temps are over 225 without a trailer, something is definitely wrong. Air in the system, thermostat stuck closed, etc.

    7000 empty or full? I pulled a 5800empty/7000 full 32' travel trailer from PA to CO, UT, MT, and back all across the rockies without issues in my 2016. Maybe dropped to 55 on the very steepest grades just to not hammer the truck.

    Aftermarket brake controller suggestions

    I had the factory one and it internally melted on my on a long trip. I now have the Tekonsha Prodigy p3 and am very happy with it. They make a direct connect pigtail, so no cutting wires.

    Tranny temps

    180-190 seems normal on a long run unloaded. I very rarely peak mid-220's towing a 7000# travel trailer on very big hills. Mostly stays under 220. I have the tow package/trans cooler.

    Following. I removed my factory controller and replaced with a Prodigy after the factory literally melted internally 1000 miles from home. Prodigy doesn't fit in the hole. If I can come up with a good idea, I have a 3D printer.

    Keep losing throttle control, P2112 throttle stuck closed. Shutdown and startup and it would run fine for a few more miles and fail again. Cleaned the throttle body, issue not resolved. Replaced the throttle body/electronics and now it's fine. FYI - This is not covered under the Ford Certified...
