After discussing some information and doing a little research on this thread here

I have a couple questions for the guys who have gone the spacer lift route.

Ever get into any semi-serious off roading? Bouncing down a prairie trail etc. I doubt anyone has taken their Expedition rock crawling or on any serious trails :) If so did you ever have encounter any circumstances where the suspension dropped out so much the control arm/ball joint hit the coil spring.

How many miles did you put on after installing the lift?

Any issues I should think about?

i dont have a 3rd gen but i do have IRS on my 2nd gen. but i do use mine offroad. mainly fire roads through the mountains. put have played in the mud in azusa canyon and only got stuck once. driven across washed out dirt roads. It has held up so far. i have also hit railroad crossings were most slow down and have bounced enough to hit my head on the ceiling pretty good.

i have prob 40k on my 3/2 spacer kit. when i first put it on the top of the knuckle always hit the spring but i found that to be a loose bolt on the upper control arm. since fixing that i have done 60 mph bombs down dirt roads and actually caught air off a little knoll. the lift really didnt change the ride quality or even the handling of the truck. you will def need to get the truck alighned after putting it in. i have also flexed it enough to lift a wheel off the ground and never heard anything hit. there isnt alot of droop to the suspension though.

NC beaches, TX ranch roads, and some farm fields in PA....not a problem for mine. Put about 35,000 on the lift, no issues. I did splurge for the new caster/camber keys at the time of alignment, did it help...dunno, but gave me peace of mind knowing there's a little more adjustability in the front end. Everything is in my gallery.
