Hi, I am new to this forum. My wife's 2013 Expedition has extremely stiff/hard steering. Has anyone else experienced this on their trucks? I drive a Ram 1500 Longhorn and it has pretty easy steering so I may just be used to that is why hers feels so stiff. Her older Expedition did not have this stiff of steering, or at least we can't remember it being that way. Is there a fix for this issue such as a different type of fluid or maybe a bigger power steering pump? The truck self centers after a turn perfectly fine, and now only has 13,000 miles on it. It was bought new so it hasn't had any issues before we got it (that we know of....). It doesn't whine or anything like that. Any help or advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Take it to the dealer and have them check it. It's under warranty

Might have the rack going bad. I experienced something similar in my 08 right after picking it up new. When I say stiff...I mean you would have to wrestle the wheel to get it to turn. Then after things warmed up, everything acted normal. Dealer determined rack and pinion was bad from assembly, no issues since. Have dealer check.
