Well, I managed to get 43,000 miles out of my Mickey Thompsons but it's time to replace them. So what's everyone running and what would you recommend for Louisana driving on the highway BUT will get me to the deer lease and duck hunting hole! I really need the best of both worlds if they make such a tire.

Thanks
Wes

I'm running 285/55R20 Michelin LTX AT2s. So far so good, sand, light mud, etc. It's all we run on our company trucks and they last, handled the load and we just don't have issues with them. FYI I am also 2.5" running coilovers up front, I'm not sure how smooth the ride would be with the stock setup and cheap spacers. The tires are 53 not sure what the MTs are.

I'm running stock size BFT Rugged Terrain AT. I know a lot of people don't like them on here but I've never had a problem with them at all. They have gotten me through 3 feet of snow, rain, ice and mild off roading. I previously had the worst tires known to man in the Pirelli Scorpion.

Asking for opinions on tires is about as productive as asking opinions on brand/type/weight /change interval of oil.

Agreed 100%.

+1 for Michelin, I don't think you can go wrong with any Michelin, even the ones they occasionally make exclusively for Sams Club or Costco type places. If you ever find yourself on I-35 between Dallas & OKC, there is a Michelin plant in Ardmore, OK that has daily tours. I've been about 4-5 times, its amazing if you like TV shows like How Its Made.

I'd recommend looking at Michelin-made BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A. Less off-roady than the Rugged Trail, priced decently, fantastic tread wear, a smooth quite ride. I've had a few sets over the years, recommended. Sams Club had a great deal on Michelin Lattitude? X-Green truck/SUV tires, put a set on my pick-up a few months back.

My Expedition has Goodyear Fierce street tires that would only leave you stuck offroad.

I had a set of these (not sure if they were Michelin made or not) on my Mercury Mariner and wasn't super happy with them. I got about 30k miles out of them and the last 10k were VERY loud and got pretty hard. The tires looked completely different when worn down than they did when new- sipes and grooves in the tread blocks only went down part way.

Im running multimile wild country radial xtxs in 275/65/18. Excellent all terrain tire and im super happy with them so far. Very reasonable pricing for the size. I paid around 170 a tire for them.

Well....I ended up going back with the Mickey Thompson ATZp3s. Have about 300 miles on them now and have been very pleased. Will try to post new photos soon.
