Im doing new cams for increased torque (something with a lope but not stupid with me needing to get a different stall with the torque converter.) And i could worse case scenario get into installing new torque converter, so thats not a deal breaker.....eventually Im going with Comp because of their reliability. Ive also read on here that Lunaty were good too. Anybody ever done Cams?
any info or pics would be awesome to discuss

. Thanks

check out ford-trucks.com. They have a section specifically for the 4.6/5.4 modular motor

Most of the mod motor cams out there focus on hp and not torque as they are mostly mustang or even lightning/boosted specs. You could always have a custom grind made. But if you do go with an off the shelf grind stay with the "stage 1" level so you don't actually lose bottom end torque.

Zero lope. I would forget about lope in a heavy SUV. What gives you the lope will also kill low end power / torque and require modding almost the entire drivetrain to make it work properly. Gears, converter and custom programming at a bare minimum or you will just end up with loss of power.
