I'll be headed to a dealership to negotiate a (hopefully) good deal on a 2018 Expedition Platinum Max.

For those of you who have purchased/financed your '18 Expedition, how much $$$ off MSRP were you able to get your vehicle for?

I'd love to hear your feedback. Many thanks!

Local dealers are selling Platinums with a MSRP of ~79K for 75K. Pretty much X-Plan pricing after you add up all the options and compare.

2018 4x4 Limited. MSRP $73,230. Paid $64,000. Planned to pay cash, was forced to finance 100% through FMC to get that price. Plan to refinance or payoff once I get payment book. Purchased yesterday (2/10/18).

I paid $78k even for mine...msrp of $81k. Throw in the $3k in incentives and my tab came to $75k.

It’s a platinum max 4x4.

Side note: I used Flood Ford’s ESP warranty pricing to get my dealer waaay down on the extended warranty pricing. They wanted me to pay like $3k and I showed them I could get it with Flood for about $1600...they matched it.

Can you elaborate on the extended warranty? I always go for the $0 deductible for any dealership (not just the one selling the car), and they always claim you won't get a better price unless you sign-up at the time of purchase. I call BS.

My plan was to wait a year or two then go the $0 deductible route.

I always use https://www.lombardfordwarrantys.com/ for the Ford warranties. At least get an online quote from them so you have something to use at the dealer. It can be purchased after the purchase of your vehicle. If you give them your email, they'll also send you a discount code.

Thanks! One thing I don't really understand is why would one sign up for a plan like this immediately if they are already covered for 3/36? Any reasoning?

Also, what are the 3k I'm incentives? I only notice the 1k off the bat, then another 1k if you go through Ford Credit.

I've got X Plan and my paperwork I'm reviewing is 75 for a regular length Platinum with every possible option minus HD towing. Drops to 74 once I sign the Ford credit paperwork.

The warranty plans for a new vehicle start back at mile zero regardless of when you buy the warranty.
So a 3 year extended warranty runs for the same period as the factory 3 year warranty. if you want to go further than the factory 3 year warranty, you have to buy the 4, 5, 6, year etc ESP plan.

On the incentives, there is $1000 ford money, $1000 for financing through ford and $1000 if you are a current ford owner so that's probably what aggiegrad got to get the $3k in incentives. (that's what I got as well)
