What size surgical tubing do I need for the front window seals? Dealer tells me wind noise is normal, I do not agree. This is on a 17 Expedition. I will be putting the surgical tubing up into the window seal trim at the top of the door as it sounds like the front windows are not fully closed against the seal at speed above 40mph.

Take it to a glass repair shop for an inspection. Get something in writing and bring it to your dealer if an issue is found

I'm going to try 3/8" OD, the F150 and F250 guys have had success with this side. Otherwise the entire window seal has to be replaced and they're not cheap. It's not unbearably loud but noticeable where it shouldn't be.

The first thing to do is get on the phone with Ford Customer Assistance (whether or not you're still in warranty and/or original owner) and start a file on that issue. Document everything. Go to a different dealer for a second opinion (because that's what Customer Assistance will tell you to do). Be a pain-in-the-ass and, sooner or later, the dealer(s) and Customer Assistance will bend to your will and fix it.

I did 4 1/2 years in the GM Customer Assistance Call center; I know all the routines and tricks; happy to help anybody that needs it!:)

I have seen reports of people getting the seals replaced and resolving the issue. However, getting the dealer to do so might be a pain.
