I turned off the fake noise with FORScan in my 2018. It is now pretty quiet in the cabin and I can hear the natural sound of the engine. Once you get used to the actual sound it is much easier to hear/sense sounds that aren’t normal and make require some further attention to see if a problem is starting.

Thanks for clarifying! I honestly can't even hear the fake noise, and it definitely doesn't make a V8 sound like my old Hoe.

I don’t notice a fake engine noise in my expedition. My F150 is very noticeable, and I personally think it sounds good.

I got a 3.5 EcoBoost in my 2018 work van, it sounds like a 4 banger and pulls like one 75% of the time, the other 25% of the time it still sounds like a 4 banger but pulls a hemi! I dont get the prevlich of fake noises in my speaker or any sound insulation either, it's called (eco)(boost) you do NOT get both at the same time with this motor it's either one or the other

Argh!!! Those transits are junk vans compared to the E-Series that was available until 2014. Less towing and payload, lighter duty motor and chassis, the list goes on. Not to mention the higher cost to maintain. Mechanics are not big fans of that switch.
