Does this piece need to be removable? The plastic where the screws are broke on both sides.
I'm thinking of gluing it back in.

I've never had mine out. Could you remove it as one big unit if you did glue it together?

Otherwise, hit up the junkyard and get a "new" one.

I dont even know what that part is ... but can you JB Weld just where the screws screw in? Then you can screw/unscrew it.

I've rebuilt screw beds many times, if thats what they be called

You can, but you shouldnt. Just hit up a junk yard and grab one. Its probably cheaper than the JB Weld anyway

The entire unit comes out. The switch fascia plate has a tab and two screws that attach it to the bezel. I'm assuming it was designed that way so Ford could use the same bezel and install the appropriate switch fascia plate based on vehicle options.
Just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking anything before making the attachment permanent.
Our local junk yard seems to think every used part is made of diamond & platinum and charges accordingly.

Thought about it, but the screw tab is only about 1/4" long and maybe a millimeter thick. I doubt it would hold at all.

Either go to a pick and pull or wait to find one on ebay that's fair priced.

Thanks for all the replies. Since I didn't read any compelling reasons for not gluing the switch fascia piece back in, I did.
Feels more solid than before and everything went back together perfectly and works correctly.
Only cost me a little time and a dab of JB Weld that I all ready had.
