I recently upgraded to a Snap On code reader. ABS control unit was throwing a RF sensor code. Replaced sensor with a Motorcraft part, cleared the code and it comes back every time the vehicle reaches 4 mph.

The live data output on the new sensor as well as the other three are all showing exact same speeds at the same time.

I’ve read of a need for “recalibration” of the ABS control unit but want to make sure I’m not missing something before popping $100 at the dealership for recalibration.

The tone wheel is internal to the hub so it’s clean and in good shape and the hub bearing shows no evidence of failure.

Thanks

I think you may still have an issue. This light will go off and on as it is reading the tone ring. My rears are failing and was looking at where it is located etc.and they Are buried on the inside behind the parking brake. Really/*-- Wow snap on nice... Old skool is to remove both positions and neg battery cables and jump them with a 16or 18g wire. This will do a hard reset of the CPU.

I think you may end up with a new hub. I replaced mine with timkens and they came with new abs sensors.

Also maybe swap the left and right side to see if it follows the sensor or code stays on the same side. I
