colder denser air creates more power on an internal combustion engine. My lightning made 12 more horsepower on the dyno in the winter time. cold dense air = power

the tornado is what techs would call a wallet flush [it flushes out the money]In reality most cold air kits do nothing for the horsepower other than change the airflow over the maf. for an example my friend had a 06 mustang 4.0 v6 he put on a cai the only change was the idle was more erratic. we then noticed that the stack air filter on his v6 and on the 500hp gt500 were the same..... most air filter restrictions are minimal. the horsepower and tq gains claimed are from the leaning of the engine by the different airflow.

Let's just say for the sake of argument that the Tornado does work and can produce a few mpg increase over a vehicle without it. What's stopping Ford, or any other auto manufacturer, from molding in an OEM Tornado into the intake of every vehicle they manufacture?
Absolutely nothing.
The Tornado is unpatentable. Anyone who wanted to use such a device could do so for free with no licensing fees to pay the holder of the patent. If it was effective, for a few cents worth of plastic, they could gain an instant fuel economy advantage over every auto manufacturer who failed to do the same.
The fact is, you don't see these from the factory because there is no valid scientific evidence to prove they are doing anything beneficial. Put the Tornado in the same category as HHO generators.
