Hi, my rear passenger side is leaning on a 2008 EL . Im not hearing the compressor come on when car is started. There was no error originally. Took it into the shop and they said it was the rear passenger airbag and that they would try to raise it back up which they were able to do and then there was a check air suspension message on the dash after they got it back up. So now they are saying they aren't sure what it is and that it could be electrical. 2 days later and its now back to leaning what could this be?

It's 10 years old, you're in a hot climate... might be time to blow a ton of money on a new air system or go cheap and downgrade to struts and springs

The rear uses a height sensor for each side. If you climb under the spare tire you'll see them Attached to the lower control arm. Make sure the linkage is still attached.

I'm not sure on the proper test procedure but with a multimeter you should be able to compare resistance reading between both sensors and at the same height they should test the same or very close. Use a Jack to bring the lower side up to the same height.

I would also take a good look at the bag while your under there. Its pretty common for the bag to leak and cause 1 side to drop while the other stays up. Soap/water in a spray bottle is a good leak detector.
