Is your radio stock from Ford? Sounds like it's not. All modern radios are digital, not analog. Quality of radio internals have taken a dive over the years. A spec called fm decibal fem to watts, or DBF is what makes one receiver better than another. OEM radios as a rule have some of the best fm grabbing signals. I remember buying a Blaupunkt for our company truck back in 2001. My manager said the CD worked great, but the Fm sucked. He lost channels while driving that the factory Dodge one didn't. More than likely your antenna isn't your problem. When a antenna goes south, you have problems with Am. You want a radio with a low dbf number, usually below 9, if you want it to suck in those channels and hold them Clarion has one of the better ratings there. There are other manufactures also of course. Like everything, do your homework! It all boils down to how trick you want your tunes! Money equals trickness! Always has, always will!
