The Ford cooler goes right in with the addition of one hose. Snaps right into the plastic bracket that's already there. My problem was those pesky "quick connect" fittings. Just couln't get 'em apart.

I think the dealers do the song and dance for liability reasons. Some will do it some won’t. The rules are hairy, is the factory tow rating the golden rule, the hitch rating, a municipality set max? It’s not all easy. The HD
Tow package adds no safety in larger brakes etc so it’s not a huge deal. However what if your towing over capacity and cause an accident? What will insurance say? Maybe you’ll be ok and they’ll cover it maybe they won’t. I know GM sets their capacities relatively low and EVERYBODY goes over factory capacity on the Tahoe/Yukon forum with their trailer setups.

You can check on Tasca's Web site. They have a nice diagram under Transmission Cooling. I think:

The upper one is FL1Z-7C410-A

The lower one is BL3Z-7B028-C

Not sure if you need one or both; and not certain that all the years are the same, but those are the numbers shown for 2015 and they fit my 2008 too. But you'll have to deal with one "quick connect" fittings on the lower hose that I just couldn't get apart.

What is this max payload package?

I cant get a straight answer from anyone at Ford, but it makes it 7760LB GVWR. I assume thats why I have the Trans cooler. Sorry it took so long to reply, I am new here and wasn't watching the thread.
