Thanks. From what I have seen, there is no easy way to make what I want work. I am going to try to run the new headunit DVD through the Aux RCA ports on the front of the Factory DVD. I have relocated the ports to be internal, and now I just need to get power to the overhead screen. The unit is getting power, but nothing shows on the screen. I am looking at the PIE FRD03-DVD harness for the dvd harness behind the radio, but not sure if that will work with my system.

Smo0othride thank for writing everything down, the attachment didnt come up. Do you have any more advice on the aftermarked radio and the oem dvd

aftermarket radio to factory dvd

Can anybody help please? I have a 03 expedition EB with aftermarket radio i want to install. My questions are, All I want to do is power on the DVD play for my daughter can watch movies.( I don’t have the wireless headphones for the vehicle that's ok). What I would like to do is to power on the player so we can watch movies and have sound coming out the 3.5 mm in the back of the center arm rest where a/c controls are located. Any information would be greatly appreicate

Search for "Kenwood DNX-5140". I did a write-up how I did mine that might help.

Hey everyone, I was hoping someone may be able to help me. I am trying to replace my dvd player in my 2004 Ford Expedition. The monitor still works, I just need to replace the actual dvd player. I bought an aftermarket dvd player, and I can't find a wire harness to fit it. Any suggestions on where to get one, or other ways of hooking it up?

Trying to resurrect this. None of the links work anymore. Can someone help me with a wiring diagram for the 2006 expedition, I’m trying to restore factory dvd after installing a new head unit.
