Well I would buy a 2015 Platinum I know for sale but that would mean I would have to sell my '08 King and my '03 Mach 1

If you want the 15’ go for it, only you can decide what the right option is for your needs. I like KR better than Platinum trims but some like Platinum better too.

I thought my 17 might actually have engine sounds piped in through speakers because of it’s pleasing growl it has on acceleration. From inside the Cabin it doesn’t sound like a typical lame V6 to me. With that said I’m glad it’s not sports car loud either. I guess I’m old because I’m enjoying the more quiet luxury type of ride more and more.l still have my Big block, big cammed hard hitting muscle car, but I’d rather just look and gawk at it anymore than drive it.

I daily drive an EcoBoost transit and own a 5.4L expy, one thing I can say different between the two which the 5.4L excels at is the low end torque right of the line in comparison to the EcoBoost having to build boost first. This is only pronounced when hitched up to a trailer 5000 lbs or heavier

I miss absolutely nothing. 3.5l is way better in almost all aspects. Dont know if nav 5.4 was tuned to be quieter or smoother but dont miss sound, dont miss high end power loss, dnt miss bad city mpg. She was a good truck, but i never noted the engine as a positive.

3.5 is a fine motor. I like the 5.4L 3V too. Cast iron block with steel oil pan and aluminum valve covers vs plastic on 3.5 & 5.0 currently. more engine braking, more low end torque for 4x4 operation. Linear power band and good torque curve with decent fuel economy. Eco has more power and acceleration with a slight fuel economy boost (1 MPG). Both the 5.4L and 3.5L EcoBoost die off in the upper rpm range. EcoBoost is a better performer at higher elevation where air density is lower. EcoBoost peak torque lower and therefore revs less under acceleration with load. 5.4L will downshift more. Both are good FORD engines, just depends what your after and or can afford. There are benefits to both.

To be able to afford a '15 this would have to go.
