I recently traded in for a ‘18 Limited with the 302a package (front camera). My previous car also had a front camera which I could make come on automatically at low speeds (5 mph or so), for parking help, etc.
So far, the only way I know to make the camera come on is to press the camera button. Is there an auto-on feature for this? If not, does anyone know any hacks?

I think the only way to use it is by pressing that button. I never thought about it coming on automatically but I can see how that would be handy. I also wish you could use it at a slightly higher speed and I also wish they could be used or incorporated with a dash cam system.

If you press the button to activate it and then just drive at 5mph everywhere, it will never turn off/ Problem solved, and you're welcome :) :) :)

Sorry, couldn't resist!

Or drive in reverse everywhere. no need to push a button, see I saved you a step in the process thus regaining several days of productive time over the lifetime of the car. :)

You may want to ask that question in the Forsan section. It would be nice if that could be programmed to work automatically.

John - you're good. Not only did you solve the OPs question but you also saved wear and tear on 10 of my 11 gears. Will only be wearing out my single reverse gear and not my 10 forward ones :)

If this can be activated. It is very handy feature, especially in tight parking areas. Infinity does this very well, sensor plus camera coming on automatically really helps. Following.
