Just an FYI for others with a 2015-2017 XLT with the factory power adjust & heated mirrors that would like to add some tow mirrors. Part # AM-914877170 (AM auto parts) which are the power adjust, heated, and signal tow mirrors installed great with no wiring necessary. Everything works, including the signals.

Nice!! These are on the list.
Pretty sure I am reading correctly but you DID NOT have signal mirrors to begin with?

I wish there were a set of mirrors that amber lights on the edge of the mirror facing forward. I drive on a lot of skinny dark country roads.
I’ll likely just fold the driver mirror in.

Are the puddle lights the same as factory? Already bought LEDs for my factory mirrors would like to pop those in these.

Wish Amazon carried them. They carry the Trail Ridge brand but they are $380 for the signal models.

Yes sir, correct, I did not have signal mirrors to begin with. I didn't pop open the puddle light to look, so I can't say for sure, but from the outside they look the same.

Dorman F150 chrome replacement caps fit if you want some reflectiveness for oncoming traffic

Annoyingly they're actual replacements not stick-ons so you have to take the black ones out. Despite other recommendations, I'd suggest destroying them instead of trying to take them out intact if you go that route, though, else you run a good risk of breaking mirror glass

I despise CHROME!!!!!
And certainly will never add it in any form or fashion to my vehicles.
Pre80s cars and trucks I can deal with true chrome front and rear bumpers.
Other than that dear goodness I can’t stand it. Especially the fake plastic stuff.
I hate it so much I am half tempted to replace my door handles with these to get rid of the ridiculous faux chrome strip in the door handle.

It has its uses.

Plain black sticking out into traffic is practically invisible at night

This is true I’ll find another way. Even if it is just just folding in the driver’s mirror on those tight roads.
Maybe adding an amber clearance marker to the housing somehow.

Depending if your truck is white or a lighter color you could buy a cap and spray it to match. Lightly scuff and prime then spray away.
