Seriously! I mean come on it's not like it would have broken unless straight up carelessness. Good thing is I can return it to Advance Auto Parts which is like a 10 minute drive from me.

That's what I had to do with mine. I had them ship to store, so I could pick it up there and inspect it before leaving.

Installed the drillless mud flaps by Duraflap. It was so easy, and they really protect and look great.

Installed 2 new front brake calipers and new pads. The driver side locked up on me so figured might as well replace both.d5bdc6105d6d0efdd8ca177f43fe64a0.jpg5f0f930c4a83715ac309179293db350b.jpg

Had it serviced at my local Ford dealership.

Rotated the tires myself. Torqued lugs to 150 ft-lbs. Used the x-pattern rotation.

Replaced plugs and COPs @123,500 miles on my 2010. I had the dealer do my 2006 because of the plug's reputation for breaking. These were a cinch.

I also changed the oil. I used 5w-30 on FordTechMakuloco's recommendation. I was having trouble with the engine stumbling when I needed to pass, and the plug/cop change fixed that.

I used all Motorcraft parts. I would like to keep this one for awhile. Now way I could replace it for what I have left to pay on it.

I am hearing a whine from the engine now, so I will eventually need to correct that. I also need to replace a blend door actuator in the rear and fix the front windshield wiper connector. Only one is working. Lastly I plan to flush and change the coolant. Hopefully that gets me,past the 100,000 mile service issues.

I got to drop mine off at the mechanic this morning. Started it up, let it idle for 45 sec or so since it was about 25 degrees out. Put it in reverse and touched the steering wheel and heard a pop. Said 'What was that?' As I tried to move the steering wheel, I knew... Hose busted, power steering fluid all over driveway and engine compartment. I did drop it off at my mechanic since it is too cold to work on it outside. We'll see how bad later today...

Well, it wasn't a busted hose. The OEM crimp clamp on the hose had come loose and the hose came off. It was the one from the rack and pinion to the cooler. Mechanic put on a new clamp and cleaned it up as much as possible, but it still has some fluid in hidden spots that are dripping. Hopefully they will all be gone in a day or so. Doesn't seem to be the hose, but I'll watch for a few days.
