I have a 2015 limited with the Sony sound system and the bass is non existent. I am swapping the sub out for a better one and need help taking the panel off. Is there a step by step video out there? Or a website with step by step instructions? Has anyone swapped theirs? If so what brand did you go with and did you have to add a amp? Will the factory amp work?

Thank you!

Not sure if there's a video, but you can check the Crutchfield site for starters. Mine came off in ten minutes. The only unusual tool needed was with T50 or T55 torx bit to remove the seatbelt. That bolt is usually pretty tight.

The factory wiring contains the audio signal in a shielded cable; I think it's 2 ohms. Then there's a 10A feed, ground and a lead that goes hot to turn on the amp.

The seatbelt bolt is Definitely T55. Good to know the sub is 2 ohms. Our op needs 2 ohm woofer.

Mbohn, I only have around 10 hairs left, and their around the back, or as my friend said years back, I got behind 2 red mustangs, so I followed the guy with the U shaped hair cut. I saw you and I have same birthday, I'm just a bit older, like 35 years older! But I feel 29 still, just wish my knees, eyes, and back did!
