Be it hocus-pocus or something that is needed. I ordered new hoses from JLT as I already have a JLT can from my Marauder. It worked on the Merc and the can kept oil vapors off of the intercooler below the supercharger. I also had a prefilter on the intake side. But obviously two different beasts of motors.

So It can’t hurt my Expy and at least give a little peace of mind.

Exactly.... there is some science to water injection and performance gains. My reason for pointing out the water vs no water wasn’t necessarily about performance gains but thanks for pointing that out. It’s was mainly to show that it doesn’t fill up as fast (especially in the winter) because of the lack of water in the mix. Once again I’m just showing the readers that there is a difference in the 2 cans other than just price. Which ever one people choose is up to them. I think they are both good but they do seem to work a little differently.

As I wrote my response I figured someone would bring this up. LOL. I guess next we can discuss fuel cooling ice systems get get every last bit of power gain...like we do on dragsters.
I'm not trying to be a wise guy, just like to learn new things so I thought I would google internal combustion engine & water vapor. The second article (for all practical purposes) confirms your original premise that only oxygen is required for proper combustion with hydrocarbons (gasoline) … The way I read it. I also learned that water vapor is a byproduct of the combustion, so some of that must find its way down into the oil … I would guess. Is that part of what the catch can removes?

I remember street racing some dude that had water injection on a 4 bbl. 351 Windsor that was stuffed in a 68 Mustang Coupe. It seemed a little odd for back in the 80’s to install such a system for performance. It was a pretty close race but he did Beat me in the quarter mile.I was the underdog with a stock 2bbl. 351Cleveland with 279:1 open rear at that time in my 69 fastback Mustang.

I always liked those Big Marauders.... I raced one with a blower at 75/80 Dragway with my 69 Eliminator. He drug my ass by 2 tenths of a second. We both had similar gear ratios, he had 3.55 and I had 3.50’s at the time. I got out on him but that blower ran down my naturally aspirated 390 right at the traps.

Funny you guys mentioning Marauders. A good friend of mine is selling me his 04 Toreador Red Marauder. He is the original owner and it just turned 50,000 miles. He purchased it as a sales car when he worked for a company that paid him to provide his own car. He moved on to another job where the company provided a vehicle. He only drives it occasionally on the weekends. He's got too many vehicles and asked if I was interested as he knew I liked full sized cars that that handled well and were quick. When we worked together I had an SRT-8 Magnum. That's one I wish I hadn't sold.

I'll be picking it up late April or early May. I can't wait!

Is it normal for the jlt 3.0 can to be almost full after only 600 miles?

Mine fills up pretty quickly in the winter. I wouldn’t worry about it. I usually just take a peak every other week (my commute is only a couple miles each way).
