Ya that was my strategy. Unfortunately after checking for several months I either couldn’t find a platinum grill at all or when I did, it was damaged and was priced almost as much as a new one. I checked both eBay and Car-Part.
Time is money. As the years pass, more of these cars will get wrecked, part prices will come down and availability will go up. When your truck is old, rusted and beat up you'll find as many grills as you'll want... cheap.
