Thanks for all the replies.

That video that you sent was one i was thinking of. I have never been steered wrong by any CRC product.

Also my mileage was nearly 21mpg on the screen bringing it home on the 80 mile trip from the dealer. And its been 18.5 or so dricing around town.

If anything use their MAF sensor cleaner.

The MAF Sensors in our trucks have very little chance to get dirty. I have seen some with 140K, and NOTHING on them. If your Air filter is doing its job, no issues there.

The CRC GDI cleaner works. I have seen it for myself. My experience has been on 150’s, but we have the same first gen 3.5TT that was in the 150 for years so it will work.

Well they aren’t MAF sensors, they are MAP sensors. There are three of them, and the one on top the manifold is going to be dirty from the blow by unless you have a quality catch can

Also, I own two expeditions, one modified and one bone stock. Both 16s. Both have had build up on the manifold MAP sensor since I purchased them (now both above 40,000 miles) so your statement about ones with 140,000 miles isn’t really valid. These things are constantly being blown with oily residue, just go look at f150forums if you don’t believe me.

Woohoo, 2. I also own 2 EB’s, and this is my 2nd EB Expy, 4th EB overall. I have worked on Many EB 150’s. In comparison to older Fords like the 4.0L, 4.6, or 5.4, I see the MAF Sensors as much cleaner. But that has been my experience. It is all relative.

Either way the CRC cleaner works for the intake, your doom and gloom about it, is just not founded. Ford not recommending something that relatively easily helps a problem that they ended up solving on the 2nd gen 3.5TT EB by adding Port injection back. The other option is a tear down. The CRC just seems like a no brainer.

Owners manual states take it in for tranny service. You have to decide if you want them to do it the right way or you “think” you’re doing it right and screw it all up.

DO NOT USE FOAMERS OR FUEL ADDITIVES!!! Cannot stress this enough, you will be making a very expensive mistake. Best thing to do is get yourself an oil catch can (JLT for instance) and every now and then hit her WOT up to 100mph to clean the valves. It’s not my truck, but I would never put any fuel or foam cleaners in an ecoboost, ever
"them to do it the right way" You give them way too much credit.

In reference to a transmission fluid flush and refill seeing as how there is no dipstick to check the level yourself

I know that sometimes the "newer guys", regardless of their own talent level, don't know whom the "resident guru's" in a given forum are. Those "gurus" are not self appointed but have earned their place over time by helping others. Loki is one of those when it comes to all things "computer related" in these trucks(& others)....just a FYI for you....
