Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldnt find it. Are you using LED bulbs for the rear brake light/ tail light, and which ones do you like? Thanks
Yes, I am running Diode Dynamics in the rear.

I typically only buy from Diodedynamics.com , Lightwerkz.net or Theretrofitsource.com because I've had good results and long life.

Hey Gixer....thanks for your informative posts....your work is first rate

I drive a mint 2009 Limited (46K) miles.....a lot of elbow grease needed to keep black paint looking pretty. I've been running aftermarket Anzo halogen projectors (I know yuck) for the last couple of years and now it's time to do a HID retrofit to my stock headlights which are in like new condition.

Measuring as best I can, it looks like I have room for Morimoto D2S 5.0 projectors....do you agree?
This being my first retrofit, a threaded shaft installation is very appealing
Time is not a factor, as I will be working on a set of spare headlights
Thanks again for your help

The 5.0 would fit all day!

I would strongly recommend a 3" shroud since anything smaller looks too small.

For a first retro you'd be crazy not to go with a threaded shaft. Its doesn't affect performance in any way but you'll lose the ability to adjust exactly how the projector sits.

Can anyone help me find the vertical beam adjuster? (see attached photo). I am in the process of retrofitting HID projectors into my headlights and I broke the black plastic rod that moves the reflector. I've attempted a JBWeld repair but it is not satisfactory. All I need is that gear driven device that twist fits like a bulb socket into the headlight housing. Thanks
