hey guys, so ive got my 2000 exp 5.4 that i just slapped a set of 285/75/17s on and noticing the slightest rub when i fully compress. Im looking for ideas to lift it at the least, 3" so i can get some extra clearance with these new tires before i decide to go 4x4 with it this season.

My body is already showing major rot on the bushings in the rear, so a body lift is deff out of the question.
I just replaced suspension with generic shocks off ebay for the mean time since my stock suspension was rotted to oblivion.

I have found a set up by slyjacker for $250 / A 3" lift, including shocks, coils, stablizer bar arms and pitman.

Currently i have shocks in front - shocks and coils in back.

Im new to suspension adjustments so any information is helpful.

This should be all i need to get me lifted right? Anyone has other opinions please chime in thanks.

I turned my torsion bar adjuster bolts up a bunch and put Supreme Suspension coil spacers in the rear.

No rubbing on my 275/70/18 (33.4”).

Ive heard of a few people doing this but have never seen the results. Doesnt it make the ride rougher? And with adding spacers in he rear, should i worry about replacing shocks To compensate the extra length? Thanks

It will definitely ride rougher, and yes you will need longer shocks too. I purchased rancho rs5000 off eBay. I removed my torsion bar lift, I personally didn’t like the way it rode.

So lets say i decide to replace my entire steering/suspension, control arms and all, where would i start? And who sells good kits? I feel there are too many options, and i dont know anyone with a lifted truck other then jeeps, so i have nothi to base it off of. I dont want to get cheap 2year warranty parts from autozone. My balljoings are going so i might aswell upgrade them. Even independent suspension is a possibility if it isnt too much past my price range. Any help is appreciated thanks.

I replaced everything on my front end, energy urethane bushings , and I either used ford/ motorcraft or moog on my suspension/ steering. I got everything off eBay. I had everything apart so it was easy for me, I don’t know what it cost me, I’ve pretty much built a new expedition at this point.
