So, you just left the probe in the hose and installed the hose. I will Google the flex-a-lite diagram. If anyone has done the work is willing to show me how they did it and tell me their pros/cons to it--I'll greatly appreciate it.

You are already talking to him, Check out @ExplorerTom thread. The whole thread is full of great info but the E fan starts on page 31.

You are right, his posts are great! I still don't see anything specific to what's wired where. I'm not electrical savvy just yet and really can't afford to mess anything up at this point. I'm way over budget and making leaps to overcome obstacles. I'm sure I'll figure it out from diagrams/schematics. I was just hoping for a walk through of sorts maybe.

That's your job to post play by play because I am interested in doing the E fan conversion as well. So please take lots of pics and how about a video as well.

Sucks to be the Guinea pig but, I suppose since there is no source, I'll be that guy for those who follow. Bear with me. I won't be working on my truck until some day during the weekend of the 7th when my new parts arrive (the new coolant outlet tube leaked :-/). I won't booger up this thread with irrelevant comments though. You can find my other posts. I have many more to make once I get caught up.

I've thought about doing this on my 2003 5.4, and saving $ by grabbing a beefy one from a local pull it yourself salvage yard out of who knows what

Oh that's not bad I was seeing the $4-700 kits and said no thanks lol, any noticeable gains with the conversion? MPG/Throttle response?
